Snow provides a wintry atmosphere and light, but it also means work for Heka's employees and residents. This winter reminder gives you advice on how to keep the yard and other outdoor areas of your home functional and safe in winter, and how to regulate the temperature in your home. Heka's property maintenance operatives do the snow work in the yard and take care of gritting, but residents also have their own responsibilities.

Most of Heka’s buildings have a civil defence shelter, which are maintained through periodic inspections

Most Heka properties have dedicated civil defence shelters, in addition to which some areas in Helsinki have area-specific civil defence shelters. Under normal circumstances, the shelters of apartment buildings are usually used for storing movable property. Thanks to regular inspections, the civil defence shelters of Heka buildings can be deployed within 72 hours, if necessary.
