Saniaistie 3 is located in the quiet and pleasant Tapanila neighbourhood in northeastern Helsinki. The area has good services from local shops to healthcare services and good transport connections around Helsinki.

The housing location consists of seven reddish apartment buildings, completed in 1979, which display the clear and minimalist architecture typical of their time period. The kitchens have ample storage space, a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, oven, cooker and extractor hood, and space for a microwave. The one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments have their own balconies, which were fitted with glazing in the renovation project, making them comfortable to spend time in year round. The apartments also include a separate heated storage compartment.

The shared facilities of the buildings support the functional and diverse daily routines of the residents. The shared facilities for residents include a club room for a wide range of events, shared building saunas, a free laundry room with drying rooms, and two playgrounds in the yard.
