Description of the location

At Kontulankaari 24, you can live an active and easy everyday life in Kontula, Helsinki, right next to services and transport connections. The three buildings with 7–8 floors, located close to nature, form an area with a total of 219 apartments. The shared facilities at the location, such as a club room, two free laundry rooms with drying rooms, several saunas, children's playgrounds and various storage facilities, bring comfort and community to everyday life.

The site, completed in the early 1970s, is currently being renovated, and the renovation of the first buildings will be completed in spring 2026. The entire site will be renovated by spring 2027. In the renovation project, all of the apartments will be renovated to new standards. At the same time, the facades, yard areas and shared facilities will be renovated, and the energy efficiency and accessibility of the buildings will be improved. The renovation project will involve the construction of four new studios, as a former nine-room apartment will be split into smaller units.

The light-coloured and easy-to-decorate apartments have low-maintenance vinyl plank floors. The kitchens are equipped with white appliances: a fridge-freezer, oven, cooker and extractor hood come as standard. The kitchens also have space for a dishwasher and a microwave. The bathrooms are equipped with practical ceramic tiles.

The location is smoke-free, which means that smoking is prohibited inside the apartments, on the balconies, in the shared facilities and in the yard. We have invested in the buildings' energy efficiency with geothermal heating and solar panels on the roofs.

Kontulankaari is very close to Kontula's various services and the metro station. For outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers the Kontula Sports Park and the neighbouring Kiinalaispuisto and Mustikkamäki parks, among others. By metro, you can get to Itäkeskus in 5 minutes, to Kalasatama in 15 minutes and to Helsinki city centre in about 20 minutes.
