Yläkiventie 2, Myllypuro

Yläkiventie 2 is located in the lush green Myllypuro neighbourhood. There are 272 apartments in total, ranging from cosy studios to spacious 95-square-metre five-room family apartments.

The four eight-storey buildings, equipped with lifts, form a functional whole. Residents have access to versatile shared facilities that make everyday life easier: a club room, two free-to-use laundry rooms, shared saunas, a pleasant yard with playgrounds, and various storage facilities.

The major renovation of Yläkiventie 2 will be completed in autumn 2026. The apartments are being renovated to be as good as new. At the same time, the shared facilities, facades and yard areas of the buildings are also being renovated, and the overall energy efficiency, building services and accessibility will be improved.

The site was completed in 1965, which is reflected in its linear architecture with continuous windows. The cosy and spacious yard is also typical of the 1960s. The site was designed by architects Aili and Niilo Pulkka.

The apartments are light-coloured and have practical floor plans. The floors are covered with low-maintenance vinyl planks and the bathrooms have ceramic tiles. The bathrooms have connections for a washing machine.

A functional kitchen is the heart of the home. The kitchens have a fridge-freezer, an induction cooker, an oven and space for a microwave. One-bedroom apartments and larger also have space for a dishwasher. All apartments have a spacious glazed balcony and come with a separate heated storage compartment.
