About Heka’s locations

Heka has more than 55,000 rental apartments around Helsinki. Information about Heka’s locations can be found on this page.

A location refers to a rent determination unit, which may consist of one building at one address or several buildings at different addresses. For example, the Hopeatie 20 location includes the buildings at Hopeatie 20 and Äyripolku 1.

Heka has locations of different types and ages around Helsinki. Our oldest buildings are from the early 1900s and more are being built every year.

The majority of our locations are apartment buildings, but we also have dozens of terraced houses.

There are Heka houses almost everywhere in Helsinki. Our buildings are located on frequently operated public transport routes and close to essential services.

Apartments for your everyday life in different parts of Helsinki

Our buildings offer a wide range of apartments for different needs and life situations. The apartments range from cosy studio apartments to five-room family homes of over 100 square metres. Some of our apartments are reserved for people aged over 55, artists and people working from home.

The apartments are equipped with standard kitchenware, such as a fridge-freezer and a stove. There is space for your belongings in cupboards, closets and wardrobes. Most of our apartments have a standard balcony or a French balcony and come with a separate storage room for movable property.

Most of our buildings also have common facilities for residents, such as a laundry room with drying rooms free of charge for residents, club or hobby rooms, shared saunas and outdoor equipment storage facilities for residents.

Apply for an apartment from the City of Helsinki

To apply for a Heka apartment, fill in an application form on the City of Helsinki website Housing applications are not processed by Heka. Instead, the City of Helsinki selects the residents of Heka apartments.
